Box Office Predictions of DHOOM:3

This year's last big ticket release, DHOOM3 is all set to start with incredible occupancy across the country. The first day number (non-holiday) will not only be phenomenal but also record breaking. "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" which holds record for highest first day (non-holiday) of 19.5cr will be broken with around 20% margin. The film may not have been promoted but has been in the talks ever since the promo came in early september. The numbers are predicted as follows:


First day : 24.5cr

If the film has Good word of mouth (WOM),

Weekend- 74cr

Week 1- 132cr

Week 2- 55cr

Lifetime- 225cr

If the film has Mixed word of mouth (WOM),

Weekend - 65cr

Week 1- 105cr

Week 2- 35cr

Lifetime- 165cr

If the film has Bad word of mouth (WOM),

Weekend - 59cr

Week 1- 93cr

Week 2- 26cr

Lifetime- 130cr


Note: If the film gets very good to excellent WOM, then it can reach 250-280crs.
          If the film has just above average or decent WOM, then it can reach 175-200crs
          If the film has below average WOM, then it might settle at around 145cr
          If the film has disastrously horrible WOM, then it will end at 120cr.

Advantages for the film: Possibly the most famous film franchise of Bollywood.
                                   No big film to compete for 5 straight weeks until "Jai Ho" comes.
                                   Aamir Khan and Katrina are two of the top stars of Bollywood currently.


Disadvantages for the film: Nothing really apart from just one- unimpressive musical tracks.
