Box Office Predictions of DEDH ISHQIYA

Released four years back, ISHQIYA emerged a semi-successful film that found decent appreciation from audience and lots of critical approving! resulting in a sequel called DEDH ISHIQYA that stars Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah from the prequel, and new addition in Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz. The film hits the screens on 10th January 2014.


First day: 3.5cr

If word of Mouth is good,

Weekend 1- 15cr

Week 1- 23.5ccr

Week 2- 10.5cr

Lifetime- 39cr



If word of mouth is mixed.

Weekend 1- 13.5cr

Week 1- 21cr

Week 2- 7.5cr

Lifetime- 31cr


If word of mouth is bad,

Weekend 1- 12.5cr

Week 1- 18.5cr

Week 2- 3cr

Lifetime- 22cr



Note:  If the film gets very good to excellent WOM, then it can reach 45-50crs.
          If the film has just above average or decent WOM, then it can reach 33-36crs
          If the film has below average WOM, then it might settle at around 26cr
          If the film has disastrously horrible WOM, then it will end at around 20crs.


Advantages: 1) Brand name. In recent past even films like "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns" had                                    leveraged whatever little brand name it had.
                    2) Dearth or Hindi films: Its been around 3 weeks now that the biggie DHOOM:3 has released.


Disadvantages: 1) Flop songs.
                        2) Competition from YAARIYAN which has higher buzz.
